(Centerville, IN) Located at 1792 Airport Road, right here in Centerville, is a farm house built over 100 years ago that produces all of its own energy. Cope Environmental Center will be giving themed, $5 lunchtime tours of the house so that others may learn more about sustainable living. The next tour will be Wednesday, March 20th from 12:30-1:15PM and will focus on energy efficiency and alternative forms of energy (ex: geothermal, wind, solar). Please call Jeremy Mussoni at 765-855-3188 to register.
Twenty years ago, Jim and Helen Cope partnered with their friend, Francis Parks, to found the Cope Environmental Center. Despite many changes over the years, their mission then remains CEC’s mission today: to promote the sustainable use of the earth’s resources through education, demonstration and research. CEC works with children, school groups, communities, businesses and individuals teaching environmental stewardship and sustainability.
