(Centerville, IN) Are you a closet ornithologist? Have you always wanted to try bird watching? Do you simply enjoy being outdoors? Every Tuesday at 7AM from April 16th to May 28th, Cope Environmental Center will be hosting special hikes on our trails. These hikes will be led by Jim Seaney and Ron Williams, who will help bird watchers of all experience levels learn to spot and identity various species of birds. Don’t forget to bring your binoculars (Don’t have any? Borrow a pair of ours!).
Twenty years ago, Jim and Helen Cope partnered with their friend, Francis Parks, to found the Cope Environmental Center. Despite many changes over the years, their mission then remains CEC’s mission today: to promote the sustainable use of the earth’s resources through education, demonstration and research. CEC works with children, school groups, communities, businesses and individuals teaching environmental stewardship and sustainability.
