Cope Environmental Center, a non-profit offering educational programs for school groups and families, is partnering with Children & Nature Network's Serve Outside September Campaign and offering a fun family oriented service project. The event will be taking place at Cope Environmental Center on Saturday, September 29th, starting at 10:30 and ending at 12:00 for a pizza lunch. RSVPS are greatly appreciated- please call 765-855-3188 to reserve your spot today! If you have tools like handsaws and mattocks, please bring them!

Alien Invaders may be lurking in your own backyard and you might not even know it! These aliens aren’t little green creatures from another planet, but non-native species of plants that have come to Indiana and are quickly spreading, affecting local plant and animal life. Come join in for a fun morning (about an hour) of invasive plant species removal and a fun pizza lunch. Don’t know what kinds of alien invaders we will be combatting? We will start the program off with a fun educational hike where participants will learn proper tool safety and invasive plant species identification.
