Christmas With a Twist! Join the Preble County Historical Society on Friday, November 30, Saturday, December 1, and Sunday, December 2 for the 16th year of holiday dinner festivities at the Historical Center.
The evenings of music, revelry, fine dining, silent auction, and good cheer at the Preble County Historical Center begins promptly at 6:30pm each evening. Seating is limited; please make your reservations soon, last year was a sell-out!
Bagpipes and traditional folk music will delight guests as they travel down the lantern lit driveway.
The three evenings of fine dining are available for your choosing beginning with appetizers served in the 1813 Lewisburg Log House and Exhibit Hall (cheese puffs along with smoked Salmon and Whitefish spreads, stuffed snow peas with Boursin cheese, fresh fruit, and warm mulled cider.
You will dine in the warm glow of the historic Sayler-Swartsel House with the Bill of Fare as follows: Fresh Tomato Bisque with Fresh Basil, Caesar Salad, Boneless Cornish Hens stuffed with Apricot Raisin Stuffing, Pork Tenderloin with Cranberry Stuffing, Fresh Corn Pudding, Fresh steamed Green Beans, Parker House Rolls, Peppermint Stick Brownie Pie with Hot Fudge Sauce, coffee, tea, and water.
The evenings of fine dining and holiday festivities are offered at only $55 per person for society members, $65 per person for non-members. A wine selection and after dinner liqueurs will be available at an extra fee. Reminder: seating is limited, make your reservations soon!
