The newly-infected herd was found inside a ten-mile surveillance area that state officials had been watching since a first herd was found last spring. This fall, deer hunters took extra precautions with meat after a deer tested positive for bovine TB. Now, state officials have until February to submit a plan to deal with the disease to the federal government.
