(Richmond, IN)--112 babies have been born at Reid Health in the last two years that were addicted to drugs at birth because their mothers were addicts. Today, Reid is citing a volunteer program for helping those babies. It’s called “Baby Rocker”. Doctors say that in addition to medical treatment, the babies simply need to feel the human touch. Volunteers do just that…hold and rock the babies. Addicted babies can be hospitalized for up to a month. If you’d like to be a volunteer baby rocker, contact Reid Health.
