(New Paris, OH)--The reconstruction of New Paris’s most heavily traveled east-west street has hit a snag. Funding from the state has been temporarily pulled for Phase II of the Cherry Street reconstruction project. The state recently changed its grant guidelines by dividing Ohio in half. One half can apply for grants in even years with the other half in odd years. New Paris now cannot apply until next year. The village could now have to come up with another $200,000.
