(Richmond, IN)--The Indiana Department of Transportation announced Monday that it had awarded a nearly $24 million contract to fix parts of U.S. 40 and U.S. 27 in the Uptown Richmond area.  Preliminary work could begin as soon as tomorrow on stretches of South 8th and South A Streets.  The project will also include the elimination of the jog in the road just south of the railroad overpass at the Depot District.  The project won’t be completely done until the end of next year.
