(Richmond, IN)--If a newly-established timeline holds true, demolition of the old Reid Hospital building in Richmond will begin in the fall of next year. Members of Richmond Common Council met Monday night with city administrators to discuss the mammoth eyesore. The timeline was set as a goal with the realization that another remediation will have to take place to determine that amount of contaminants at the site. That will cost at least a half-million dollars. Council will take demolition costs into consideration when budget discussions for next year begin this summer. The total cost of demolition and clean-up will likely be north of $10 million.
