(Whitewater Valley)--The EDC of Wayne County has published results of a labor survey. The survey encompasses all Whitewater Valley counties. One of the key findings is that nearly 30,000 people are considered to be underemployed. 2300 people in our area who are unemployed would consider re-entering the workforce. The median pay rate that they say they would need to work again is $12 an hour. Underemployed workers said they would commute an average of 32 miles to work at a better job. The survey also looks at wages. Kicks 96 and 101.7 The Point will cover that part of the survey in news on Friday.
