(Richmond, IN)--A woman escaped serious injury when her car collided with a train Sunday night in Richmond. It happened at the crossing near North 15th and F. Investigators have already determined that the crossing arm was working correctly, but they’re not sure if the train hit her or if she drove into the side of the train. A family member indicated that a dog that was in the car hopped onto her leg and forced her to hit the accelerator. The driver was taken to Reid Health to be checked out. The dog was not hurt.
