(Liberty, IN)--A work release escapee from Logansport was captured in Liberty Tuesday night. U.S. Marshals received a tip that 59-year-old Vonny Craw was hiding out at the Liberty Motel. Marshals surrounded the motel at 6 o’clock Tuesday night and found Craw, a stolen car, and some cash. Craw had been serving 20 years for armed robbery when he escaped. Craw is suspected of having robbed a bank in Linton a couple of weeks ago and committing other crimes recently across southern Indiana. Charges in Union County are also possible.
