(Farmland, IN)--A Monroe Central school board member has been indicted for embezzlement.  49-year-old Michelle Phillips is charged with felony theft.  Phillips allegedly stole nearly $4000 from Bear Backers.  That’s an organization that supports the Randolph County school’s athletic teams.  She had access to the money over a six-month period that ended in May.  There’s no word yet on how the criminal charge will affect Phillips’ status on the school board.
