(Whitewater Valley)--Dispatchers across the Whitewater Valley say that most roads have now reopened after heavy rain inundated the area Sunday night.  The East Fork of the Whitewater River at Abington went over its 14-foot flood stage mark at just after midnight Monday morning.  At the Richmond Municipal Airport, 3.7 inches of rain fell between Sunday afternoon and early Monday morning.  There were multiple reports of street flooding across Richmond last night with several cars becoming stranded.  One man had to be helped from his Liberty Avenue home when floodwaters crossed his driveway.  "We were able to load him and his three pets to get him out of there to stay with friends for the night," said Battalion Chief Jeff Glenn. By Monday morning, most of that water had receded and was not posing an issue.  Eaton Community Schools were placed on a two-hour delay.  To our north, tornadoes did significant damage in Portland and Celina.
