(Wayne County, IN)--Wayne County has had an unbelievable 90 new, substantiated cases of child abuse and neglect in just the last two months. According to new numbers from the state’s Department of Child Services, there were 27 news cases in October. That comes on the heels of 63 new cases in September, which was the county’s largest single-month total ever. So far this year, Wayne County has had 362 new, substantiated cases of child abuse and neglect. Authorities say that drugs are in some way involved in the vast majority of those cases.
