(Richmond, IN)--The director has been fired and two board members have stepped down as fallout from the Help The Animals allegations continues. Jamie Glandon was fired by the Board Tuesday after seven healthy dogs were euthanized. The Help Center claims they were bite risks. Board Members Kimm Ladd and Michele Curry have stepped down. On Tuesday, Board President Susan Beeson indicated that other staff and volunteers may have been falsely told the euthanized dogs were moved to another location to spare those volunteers the heartbreak of knowing the dogs had been put down. She added that she does not think the director intentionally deceived the public, but made the wrong decision. The shelter has received several threatening phone calls. A protest is still on for this Saturday outside the Help the Animals shelter in Richmond, despite Tuesday’s firing of Director Jamie Glandon and the resignation of two board members. Specifically, the protest is calling for the removal of everyone responsible, including Board President Susan Beeson, after seven dogs were euthanized. The protest begins at 3 Saturday outside the Help shelter.
