A Richmond manufacturing company faces a hefty fine for workplace safety violations. Ahaus Tool and Engineering on Industrial Parkway was fined 10-thousand 500 dollars by the state’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The fine stems from a May 12th accident at the plant in which a metal bar fell from an overhead crane and struck a worker, sending him to the hospital. The plant had previously gone more than two years without an accident.
