(Richmond, IN)--Bicycle paths and laws were the hot topic when Richmond Common Council met Monday night.  Council heard about a proposal that would create bike paths that would connect the Uptown area with the Depot District.  The paths would be located on 7th and 10th Streets and would carry a $3 million price tag, although most of that would be covered with federal dollars.  If ultimately approved, construction would be at least a couple of years away.  Council also Monday night did away with existing bicycle laws that were written in the 1960’s.
