(Richmond, IN)--Six units at Country Club Apartments in Richmond have been sealed by the city’s Building Commissioner.  Beverly Budd said it began two months ago and involved the Health Department after standing water was found in units below ground level.  But that investigation turned up much more.  Two empty units were discovered that were being used for prostitution.  Residents saw men frequently coming and going.  Four other empty units were being occupied by drug users.  Users were climbing in through windows.  City officials found paraphernalia inside.  The door of one unit had a sign that said “Not a trap house.”  Budd said that Country Club’s owner has been cooperative with clean-up efforts.
