(Richmond, IN)--The primary tenant in Uptown Richmond’s largest building is leaving. Chase Bank is closing both of its Uptown branches at the end of March. The closures include the main branch at 630 East Main and the motorbank at the corner of North 7th and A Streets. A corporate spokesperson said in an e-mail to Kicks 96 and The Point News on Thursday that two factors led to the decision: the lease is expiring and there’s been a significant decrease in transaction volume. Chase will continue to operate its three other branch locations. Most local Chase customers will get a letter explaining the branch closures either Friday or Saturday.
