(Dayton, OH)--There’s more trouble for Bon-Ton Stores.  That’s the parent company of Elder-Beerman.  Last month, the company missed a $14 million interest payment.  It started a 30-day grace period that will end this week.  Also this month, the Elder-Beerman in nearby Middletown was permanently closed.  Bon-Ton has hired a private company to find ways to refinance the company’s debt as sales and customer traffic decline at stores like Elder-Beerman.
