(Wayne County, IN)--Wayne County Prosecutor Mike Shipman has released new figures on Wayne County’s drug diversion program. That program makes it possible for some drug offenders to have criminal charges either reduced or dropped if they’re able to successfully complete a treatment program. Shipman said that since the program’s inception a year and a half ago, 128 offenders have taken part. 61% were removed for failing to comply. There are currently 36 people attempting the program. About half are considered compliant. 15 people have successfully completed drug diversion.
