(Richmond, IN)--The occupants of an apartment near North 14th and H in Richmond were able to escape a fire Sunday.  It broke out at around 11:30 Sunday morning.  "We arrived on the scene and had heavy smoke showing from the front door," said Battalion Chief Tim Brown.  The residents of that and an adjoining apartment were not injured.  "The other unit wasn't affected other than smoke," Brown explained.  Investigators have already determined the cause.  "Some household cleaner was accidentally ignited," Brown said.  Damage was set at $12,500.  The family is in need of clothing of various sized for children.
