(Richmond, IN)--The day that many community leaders in Richmond had waited for for years finally came Monday…the building that was old Reid Hospital began to visibly come down.  Demolition work began Monday on the canopy over what was the emergency department entrance.  Old Reid had been abandoned for a decade and was, without question, the city’s biggest eyesore.  Demolition will continue Tuesday.  The entire project will take more than a year to complete and carries a cost of about $4.3 million.
