(Richmond, IN)--An affidavit became available Monday in a weekend case of child abuse.  Sarah Dunn and Matthew Day both remained behind bars Tuesday facing charges that now include battery to a child younger than 14 resulting in serious bodily injury.  According to the affidavit, Sarah Dunn returned home from work to find that her four-year-old boy had been severely beaten by Day.  The boy’s injuries were extensive and he was sent to a central Indiana children’s hospital.  The boy had been removed from the home by CPS last year, but was allowed to return after Day moved out.  But, Dunn allowed Day to return this spring.  Both now face a standard nine-year prison term.
