(Brookville, IN)--A Franklin County Jail matron sustained what were described as serious injuries when an inmate escaped Tuesday.  42-year-old Jennifer Broering of Laurel was being escorted from a court hearing in Brookville when she escaped the matron, causing the matron to fall to the pavement.  Broering was found hiding in a shed about a half an hour later.  A school was placed on lockdown during the search.  Broering now faces much more serious charges than the original drug charge for which she was appearing.  The matron’s name and condition have not been released.
