(Richmond, IN)--A Richmond police officer was bitten by a police canine during a pursuit Thursday morning.  Officers were chasing two men on foot in the area of Pearl Street.  The bitten officer was taken to Reid Health.  Police were eventually able to capture 31-year-old Christopher Pitre in the 200 block of Richmond Avenue.  He faces charges that include battery on a police officer, criminal recklessness, and four counts of OWI.  31-year-old Andrew Moore of Richmond was also jailed.  There’s no word yet on what started the chase.
