(Winchester, IN)--There was a dramatic rescue in Randolph County Thursday.  A dog had wandered onto the thin ice of a retention pond near U.S. 27 at the Randolph Inn.  The dog fell through the ice and was unable to make it back to dry land.  Randolph County Sheriff’s Deputy Sergeant Tom Honeycutt entered the frigid retaining pond and, with the help of a few other first responders, pulled the dog to safety.
