(Boston, IN)--The NTSB has released a report on an incident at the Richmond Municipal Airport last month in which a small jet slid through the runway and across State Road 227. The report indicates the pilot told investigators that he checked weather reports and runway conditions through an FAA source and saw no mention of snow on the runway. Airport officials said, though, that conditions had been filed. The runway had just over an inch of snow, but the pilot decided to try to land anyway when seeing the snow before touchdown. There was also substantial fog when the plane approached the airport.
