Miranda! Maren! Luke Combs! CMA Announces First Round of Performers

The CMAs revealed on GMA Thursday the first list of performers for the star studded event on Nov. 11.

Get ready for Miranda, Maren, Lady A, Rascal Flatts, Eric Church, country's hot boy Luke Combs, Ashley McBryde, Florida Georgia Line and a team-up of Thomas Rhett featuring Reba McEntire, Hillary Scott and Chris Tomlin for "Be a Light."

We also hear hosts Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker are taking the stage together "for an emotional, groundbreaking tribute performance," but no details on who it's a tribute to.

Gabby Barrett is teaming up with pop star Charlie Puth for their remix of "I Hope".  Here's hoping Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber get added to the show...  Who's with us on that?

The CMAs also made a very interesting announcement saying, “The 54th annual CMA Awards will mark the first time the biggest names in country music will come together—safely, all in one room—this year.”

Luke Combs Breaks Streaming Records (Again) With New Deluxe Album

2020 has been the year of Luke Combs! Even through this pandemic this country artist continues to hit us like a hurricane!

Something special about this North Carolina singer. Anybody else get the feeling we're watching a Garth Brooks type of artist here?

His team sent out a lengthy press release to share the big news!

"On Apple Music, the album reached #1 on their overall U.S. Top Albums chart — making Combs the only country artist in history to top the chart, doing so twice in the past 12 months."
They added, "He also had the most first day streams ever for a country album on the platform. This accomplishment breaks Combs’ own record, which he set last November following the release of  What You See Is What You Get."

But wait there's more!

The new album track, “Forever After All,” also debuted at #1 on Apple Music’s Daily Top 100: Global Songs chart and broke the record for the biggest first day of streams for a country song. Combs is also Apple Music’s most streamed country artist this year.

There's a bunch more records he broke on Spotify too. Luke Combs is bringing the heat and we are all here for that fire!

Kane Brown Performing at Cowboys Thanksgiving Day Game, "Kane's music has a way of inspiring hope"

Happy turkey day to us!

Kane Brown will be the halftime performance at the big Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game when they take on the Washington Football Team.

Brown shared the news Tuesday night with James Corden on 'The Late Late Show.'
This televised performance is a Thanksgiving Cowboys tradition with the American Red Cross to raise funds through their iconic Red Kettle Campaign.

"I'm thrilled to be a part of this year's Dallas Cowboys halftime show honoring The Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign," Brown said. "There were times growing up when my family did not have enough to eat, or a roof over our head, and today, there are so many people in need. 2020 has been a hard year, but every small act of generosity helps. I am honored to have the opportunity to bring awareness to the ways people can help during this holiday season and beyond."

Carrie Underwood Offers Sweet Message of Sympathy to Miranda Lambert After Her Dog's Death

It's no secret Miranda Lambert loves dogs!  In 2009 she founded MuttNation to help homeless pups find forever homes.   On Thursday, October 22, one of her beloved rescue dogs, Waylon died.  She wrote a sweet tribute on Instagram.

"Today I lost one of my best friends. My old pal Waylon. I found him and his sister on the side of the road in Oklahoma in January 2008. They were abandoned, starving and freezing nearly to death. I was listening to Jessi Colter and Waylon Jennings at the time me and mom saw them and pulled over to pick them up. I took them straight to the vet and she told me that the little boy was not doing too well (malnourished and dehydrated ) because whatever they had found to eat while they were homeless, he always let her eat first. He did that nearly his whole life."
She added, "For almost 13 years. He was a rock in our family and always held down the fort. He lived his life with no fences. The way we all want to live."

"I’m so thankful for the time we had with him and I’m thankful for the rest of the time we have with his sister Jessi. Im so glad my husband @brendanjmcloughlin got to know him in his final years.???? We are heartbroken but happy that he is running across the rainbow bridge right now and will be waiting for us when we get there. ???? Dogs change your life. The bond is something that can’t be described unless you have lived it."

She went on and thanked the team of doctors that had been working with Waylon, hinting that he had been declining over the past few years. Her country friends sent their love.
"????...sending lots of love and hugs," Carrie Underwood wrote.

“Nothing like the love of a dog???? so sorry, girl???? praying for y’all,” Brittany Aldean (wife of Jason Aldean) wrote.

“I’m so sorry!!!! I know how deep that headache is! He’ll be waiting for you in heaven,” Kimberly Schlapman of Little Big Town added, while her bandmate Karen Fairchild wrote, "So sorry Miranda ♥?"

Jon Pardi Releases Video For New Song on 'Heartache Medication' Album

Jon Pardi has premiered the video for “Bar Downtown,” one of the new songs on the deluxe edition of his Heartache Medication album, which arrives at retail today (Friday, Oct. 2nd).

Jon co-produced “Bar Downtown,” which was written by Josh Osborne, Josh Thompson and Matt Dragstrem.

That tune is one of three new ones on Heartache Medication (Deluxe Edition), along with “Beer Light,” which Jon co-wrote, and “Ain’t Always The Cowboy" (Western Version).

Jon tells us: “‘Bar Downtown’ is awesome. I love this, and I heard this song back when we could go downtown. I thought it was great, and it was just an infectious melody and it’s that wondering where she is kind of song, and I love those kind of songs so I’m glad it made it on the Heartache Medication Deluxe. But I felt like these two songs fit on the Deluxe and when they come out, hearing them all together with the Heartache Medication playlist, it’s gonna be awesome.”

Heartache Medication (Deluxe Edition) celebrates the one-year anniversary of Jon's first back-to-back, sold-out headlining shows at the Ryman Auditorium, which is also when he proposed to fiancee Summer Duncan.
