This is my kinda party!

Independent music publisher Spirit Music Group broke some big news on Thursday (Feb. 24).  The company has acquired 90% of Jason Aldean’s recorded music catalog.
The reportedly $100 million deal includes the acquisition of Aldean’s first nine albums, from his 2005 debut album to his 2019 project, 9. The acquisition also includes neighboring rights and SoundExchange royalties with Aldean retaining the remaining 10% ownership in the catalog.

Spirit Music Group CEO Frank Rogers and Chairman Jon Singer also commented on the deal, praising Aldean's defining role in country music.

Kelsea Ballerini Shares Teenage Battle with Bulimia

Kelsea Ballerini is happy and healthy now, but she admits that hasn’t always been the case. In her new book of poetry, “Feel Your Way Through,” which is out now, Ballerini said she suffered from an eating disorder in high school.

“My parents had just gotten divorced, and I think for me, it was a source of control,” Ballerini told People.

Ballerini addresses her struggle in her poem “Kangaroo,” that details being picked on in high school. The teenage bully exacerbated her battle with bulimia, diet pills and excessive workouts. She got help at 18, but Ballerini said her relationship with her body is a never-ending journey.

“I don’t work out to get skinny; I work out to be healthy,” she said. “I don’t eat a salad to be skinny; I eat a salad to be healthy. I’ve re-calibrated what it means to me to look in the mirror and just be like, ’Man, I’m healthy. I’m strong. I have good breath support to do my job well.’ Those are things that matter to me now, rather than: ’I look skinny in a dress.'”

Sam Hunt UPDATE!

Sam Hunt and his wife of five years, Hannah Lee Fowler, are not getting a divorce after all, according to Us Weekly. The publication points to court documents they obtained just yesterday (Tuesday, February 22nd) which show that Hannah both filed for divorce and withdrew her complaint a little more than two hours apart on Friday (February 18th).

She initially filed for divorce at 11:43 a.m., citing "inappropriate marital conduct” and “adultery.” At 2:13 p.m., Hannah filed a Notice of Voluntary Nonsuit, or dismisal, meaning she is no longer seeking a divorce. According to the documents, her decision is classified as “voluntary nonsuited without prejudice,” which means she can file for divorce again at a later time.

As of Tuesday, a judge had yet to sign off on the filing, which would then dismiss the case completely, according to Us Weekly.

Sam Hunt's Pregnant Wife Files for Divorce Citing Adultery

This is not a good look for this country singer.

Sam Hunt's wife has filed to end their 5-year marriage, citing infidelity as the reason.
Hannah Lee Fowler claims in her legal docs, obtained by TMZ that Sam is "guilty of inappropriate marital conduct," and she goes on ... "guilty of adultery."

Elsewhere in the docs, Fowler claims that “all hopes of reconciliation are exhausted.” Hunt has yet to comment.

Sam and Hannah had not announced she was pregnant, but in the docs, she says she's due in May.

The docs were filed in Tennessee, which isn't a no-fault divorce state. She's asking for alimony. She also wants primary custody of their soon-to-be-born child. And, she wants child support as well.

It's unclear if they have a prenup. As for alimony, Hannah wants, "transitional alimony, rehabilitative alimony, and alimony in future."

Florida Georgia Line 'Taking A Break' From Working Together

Florida Georgia Line is not saying they have completely parted ways but they are "taking a break." Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley confirmed that news to People magazine during the opening of their new Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum exhibit in Nashville on Sunday (February 6th).

Tyler said, "I think 'taking a break' is the proper term, as opposed to breaking up . . . We're sort of using these last 12 shows as a time to celebrate FGL, celebrate the fans, celebrate each other, and then support each other on the next chapter of our musical and creative journey, which is gonna be individually for a while. So we're excited."

Tyler is referring to the few dates he and Brian have on the books together in 2022, which include festival shows.

Brian released a solo album last year and will follow it up with a solo tour, called the Made By The Water Tour, beginning in April.

Tyler has been collaborating with various artists, including Tim McGraw on their 2021 duet "Undivided."

Luke Bryan is ready to kick off his Las Vegas residency this Friday, and he isn't the only one excited about being in Vegas.

Luke said, "Oh, yeah. My mother, she's already punched her ticket. What's the big shopping center out here? Crystals and all that? Yeah, my credit card will be in flames come Friday."

Bryan continued, "I can literally, like, ease out of my hotel room, ride the elevator down and clock into work. I'm just excited to see the show come together."
He also opened up about his friendship with Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry, who also has a Vegas residency.

Luke added, "No, she doesn't help me at all. Anything Katy does, she sends stuff to create more anxiety. She's like, 'Wow, big stage. Be ready. Wow. Get ready for the dry air of Las Vegas.'... But as years have gone, we have an even more fun friendship and a great working relationship."

He continued, "She's really a little jealous because she believes that Orlando might have a little man-crush on me. Orlando came into Nashville and I had all these outdoor activities planned for him. So yeah, me and Orlando, our love is strong."

Blake Shelton Invites Little Boy Waiting On Heart Transplant To Duet During Show

Blake Shelton performed a special duet with his "smallest biggest fan," according to a handmade sign that a six-year-old named Wyatt was holding up in the front row at Blake's concert on Saturday (January 29th) in Durant, OK. The sign also said that Wyatt was waiting on a heart transplant. Blake was struck by the sign and brought Wyatt on stage to help him perform his hit "God's Country."

Wyatt's mom told TMZ that he was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, a condition where the left side of the heart does not grow. Wyatt has already undergone two open-heart surgeries.
