Eric Church's signature shades started out for a reason

Eric Church Signature Shades Started To Avoid Losing His Contacts

Eric Church wears his shades on and off stage.  It’s become a signature look for him.
Eric has carried a look of mystery about him, and part of that is his signature shades.
It’s all part of the persona…the package…the look, but it didn’t always start out that way.
In fact, he says it all started out because he didn’t want to lose his contacts back when he played bars and clubs with low ceilings and hot lights.
“I’m tall so the lights were right here,” Eric says motioning to his face. “Somebody just suggested, ‘why don’t you wear shades it’ll protect your eyes?’ That’s how this whole thing started.”

Scotty McCreery, wife Gabi's dog Moose has helped prepare them for kids

Scotty McCreery and his wife, Gabi, are about to become parents for the first time, but they’ve already gotten some practice in with their dog, Moose.

The couple welcomed the yellow Lab into their family in 2019 when he was 3 months old. In the years since, the couple has given him a dream life that includes hikes through the mountains in their home state of North Carolina and indulging in Moose’s favorite activity — swimming.

“Sometimes he gets a little sassy with us, if he only wants to eat at certain times or whatever. But it’s like, ‘You get to run around, we’ll take you to the beach, you get to go hiking in the mountains and swimming in waterfalls,'” Scotty describes of their relationship with Moose, noting that the pup has a “good life.”

He adds that they spend a lot of time at Gabi’s parents’ lake house so Moose can swim in the lake (oftentimes chasing kayakers for a half mile). And if the way they dote on Moose is any indication of how they’ll be as parents, it’s safe to say their child will be loved and cared for.

Scotty shared with People that having Moose was “great training for kids one day.”

“He loves going to his boarding. They call it Pet Resort and Spa. They have a pool for him and they send us pictures, he’s loving life,” Scotty adds. “I can’t even remember life without Moose. It’s so funny because now, nobody ever asks, ‘How are you doing?’ or ‘How are you and Gabi?’ It’s, ‘How’s Moose doing?’ That’s all we ever get nowadays is, ‘How’s Moose?’ But we love it. He’s the man.”

Scotty and Gabi are expecting a baby boy in November.

Jake Owen doing the Sobriety thing!

Jake Owen is working on a major lifestyle shift: sobriety from alcohol.
He shared the revelation on Instagram, posting a picture of his day counter of being sober. Owen explains it was time to share his story with fans — and hopefully provide support to anyone out there who might want to make a change in their own drinking habits.
"I embarrassed myself after drinking too much alcohol one night. It wasn't the first time, either," Owen wrote. "The next day, I told myself, 'Never again.' I am better than that, and the people I love the most deserve better. My family, my little girls and my friends."
With the better part of a year of sobriety now under his belt, Owen says he's proud of how far he's come, and he hopes his experience can help other people in his situation.
"Just wanted to share my journey in case anyone woke up this morning and wants to make a change," he continues. "None of us aren't perfect...I'm just trying to be the best version of myself these days."

Dierks Bentley Drops First Taste Of New Music With 'Gold'

Dierks Bentley has released a new song called “Gold." It's a taste of the new music featured on his upcoming 10th album due out sometime early next year.

Dierks said, “2020 was a chance for me to give my guitar and the road a little rest. It gave me the chance to spend a lot more time adventuring outdoors with family and friends, but also alone. It also gave me time to reset and rekindle my love of Country music and a lot of the types of songs and sounds that I fell in love with when I first got to Nashville. I think you’ll hear that in this first track, but it carries across the whole album.”
