ORGANIZATIONS DENIED SPACE ON FRANKLIN COUNTY COURTHOUSE LAWN

(Brookville, IN)--More organizations and individuals are trying to rent space on the Franklin County Courthouse lawn for holiday displays after commissioners made those lots available to satisfy the ACLU’s dispute over a Nativity scene.  On Monday, commissioners turned down applications from the Satanic Temple and Freedom From Religion.  Both organizations were denied because they failed to meet a requirement that states the individual or group must be based in Franklin County.  One application that has been approved is a display of Hell.  The renter wants to tell people who ask where Brookville is to go to Hell.
