(Union County, IN)--Luckily for Connersville’s Clintin Lynch, the ice on Brookville Lake is still about eight inches thick.  Lynch drove off of Fairfield Ramp onto the lake Tuesday.  The car went out about 120 yards – the exact length of a football field – onto the lake and overturned, but never sank.  Lynch was able to walk to Brookville Lake Resort for help.  He was taken to Reid Hospital to be treated for a head injury.  The Liberty Dive Team spent four hours getting the car off the lake.
