(Wayne and Randolph County, IN)--Police in several counties were looking for a man who led police on a chase beginning around 1 o’clock Friday morning in western Wayne County.   The driver of a car with Virginia plates was headed northbound in the southbound lanes of State Road 1 at 100 miles per hour.  The man is wanted in Maryland and crashed into a field in southern Randolph County.  He fled on foot and stole a nearby car.  At 5:30 Friday morning, he stole a woman’s cell phone at a convenience store in southern Jay County.  Police were trying to track the location of that phone.
