(Richmond, IN)--316 Wayne County residents lost their jobs between December and January, according to newly-released state figures.  That number, combined with nearly 900 new members of the labor force, has made Wayne County’s unemployment rate jump up nearly a full percentage point in the last month to 7.2%.  But, on the good side, Fayette County dropped out of the top ten in unemployment for the first time in at least five years.
