ARMED ROBBERS STRIKE TWO RICHMOND BUSINESSES OVERNIGHT

(Richmond, IN)--We’re now just 13 days into April and Richmond has had its fifth and sixth armed robberies of the month.  At around 11 o’clock Sunday night, a man entered the Village Pantry in the 500 block of West Main and demanded money.  There was an extensive search in the area of Dennis Intermediate School, but no suspect was located.  Then, at around 4 o’clock Monday morning, the Phillips 66 at the corner of South West 18th and Main was robbed by a man with a gun.  The suspect in the first robbery is described as a thin, white male about 5 feet eight inches tall.  There is no description yet of the suspect in the second armed robbery.  Investigators have not yet said whether or not they believe the two robberies were committed by the same suspect.  There were no reports of injury.
