(Richmond, IN)--Mark Connery was officially named Richmond’s new police chief Monday. Connery replaces Kris Wolski, who resigned last week to take a job at NSK in Liberty. Connery has been with RPD for 32 years and was serving in the rank of major. The department’s other major, Kevin Wampler, resigned his rank last week when he learned Connery would be promoted to chief. Connery is due to retire in early March of next year.
