EPA MANDATES SIGNS ALONG WHITEWATER RIVER

(Whitewater Valley)--Signs are being placed along the Whitewater River as part of an EPA order to the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.  It’s because Indiana has been identified as a high polluter of water due largely to agricultural chemicals.  Water that flows through the Whitewater eventually reaches the Gulf of Mexico.  The signs are part of the EPA’s efforts to repair a 100-square-mile dead zone in the Gulf.
