(McKinney, TX)--The Texas police officer and former Richmond resident caught up in the latest national police incident has resigned. Eric Casebolt is the white officer who drew his weapon on a group of largely-black teens at a swimming pool. "I want to say to our community that the actions of Casebolt, as seen on the video of the incident at the pool, are indefensible," said McKinney Police Chief Greg Conley on Tuesday. "He came into the call out of control. And, as the video shows, was out of control during the incident," Conely added. But, the chief also said the teens were acting disrespectfully and were out of line. Casebolt is listed in the Richmond High School alumni directory as a 1992 graduate. He has received numerous death threats.
