(Richmond, IN)--Fire did heavy damage to a Richmond business Friday morning. Crews were called to Levi Holdings on Rich Road in Richmond at around 3:15 a.m. "When I arrived, we had heavy flames coming out of the back of the structure," said Battalion Chief Jeff Glenn. "Due to the size of the structure, smoke and flames had extended pretty heavily throughout," he added. Levi is an industrial truck cleaner, and that meant there were hazmat issues. "They have several cleaners and acids in there that we had to take note of, but none of them became a problem." Glenn explained. Nearly all Richmond firefighters were there with help from New Paris and Centerville. "This was a very physical fire, so the guys got worn out quickly." Glenn added. There’s no word yet on what started the fire and there were no injuries.
