(Modoc, IN)--A new partnership will turn Randolph County landfill gas into a renewable energy source. The partnership is between Hoosier Energy and Randolph Farms Landfill and was announced Tuesday. A four-megawatt landfill gas facility will be constructed near Modoc and will convert methane gas into electricity. Construction is expected to begin in about a year with actual power production a year and a half away. The project will cost about $12 million.
