(Richmond, IN)--The list of problems at the Wayne County Jail is growing. Commissioners already knew the roof was leaking and the water pipes were failing. On Wednesday, they learned that mold is now an issue. The mold appears to be the result of leaky pipes. The two types of mold found in recent testing are not dangerous, but it makes the jail ripe for growth of a type of mold that would threaten the health of inmates and employees. The jail building is only ten years old.
