VOTER TURNOUT IN RICHMOND LESS THAN HALF OF WHAT IT WAS FOUR YEARS AGO

(Richmond, IN)--So far, Richmond residents appear to be fairly apathetic about this year’s mayoral and Common Council election.  Less than 300 people cast ballots either Saturday or Monday.  That’s well less than half of the 850 people who voted in the first two days of the mayoral election four years ago.  Voting continues each day this week at three locations, including the courthouse, the Kuhlman Center, and First English Lutheran Church.  The Townsend Center and First Baptist Church will be added for Election Day, which is a week from Tuesday.
