(Richmond, IN)--The 16-year-old who attacked a man in his 50’s at Richmond’s Walmart a week ago could be tried as an adult. The victim suffered head injuries and nearly had his ear torn off in the checkout line. That victim said he had only asked the boy and his girlfriend where hash browns were located. The boy’s family members say he was provoked to a greater extent. Wayne County Prosecutor Mike Shipman has now issued a statement saying that he is evaluating the extent of the victim’s injuries. The severity of injuries determines whether or not the boy can be tried as an adult. Walmart has not returned calls about the incident.
