MARIJUANA GROW OPERATION BLAMED FOR FIRE

(Williamsburg, IN)--The fire that destroyed a vacant home in Williamsburg Monday started because of a marijuana grow operation.  Someone was stealing electricity and using it to power grow lights in the home’s crawl space.  After the fire was out, the Wayne County Drug Task Force pulled at least six dozen plastic cups from the crawl space that contained young pot plants.  The house was supposed to go up for sheriff’s sale Wednesday.  No charges have been filed.
