RICHMOND COMMON COUNCIL MEETS TONIGHT ON HEARTLAND PROJECT

(RICHMOND)- Richmond Common Council meets tonight to discuss several issues regarding the pet food manufacturer that is considering locating in the Midwest Industrial Park. Council will be asked to approve the transfer of 90 acres of land to Heartland Pet Foods Manufacturing. A funding agreement for improvements to Gaar-Jackson Road has been reached. The city of Richmond will pay half of the cost with Wayne County picking up the other half. The town of Centerville, which also maintains part of the road, will pay nothing.
