MAN FOUND GUILTY IN RACIAL GRAFFITI INCIDENT

(Richmond, IN)--The man who early last year stirred tension in Richmond by painting racial graffiti on his own home and was responsible for his truck being set on fire in his own driveway was found guilty by a Wayne County jury Wednesday.  38-year-old Jonathan Powell now faces up to a year in jail when he’s sentenced on the 21st.  His wife, former Richmond physician Dr. Myla Bennett, now lives near Atlanta.  She testified Wednesday on his behalf.  Powell already has a criminal history.  He’s a convicted armed robber and deadbeat dad.
