HISTORIC RICHMOND HOME'S NEW OWNER ARRESTED; CONTRACTORS HALT WORK

(Richmond, IN)--Work to renovate the historic Crain Sanitarium Home in Richmond appears to have come to a screeching halt.  That’s the home at the corner of 22nd and East Main directly across from Glen Miller Park and the Madonna of the Trail.  A California couple named Ben and Heaven Johnson recently purchased the property and said they planned to renovate, but now there’s reason for skepticism.  Some contractors have ceased work after not being paid.  Last week, Heaven Johnson was arrested and charged with stealing numerous items from Menard’s.  Employment history from Ben Johnson does not check out.  He claims to work for Rolls-Royce, but the only employee they have by that name works in London.
