FAMILY ESCAPES EARLY-MORNING HOUSE FIRE

(New Paris, OH)--Three people escaped a house fire overnight near New Paris.  It broke out on Arnett Drive at about 1:45 Tuesday morning.  A male occupant of the home discovered the fire, called 911, and then tried unsuccessfully to put the fire out with a garden hose.  Two other people inside were able to escape.  Six fire crews responded, but the house was a total loss.  There’s no word yet on what caused the fire.  Crews cleared up at around 5 o’clock Tuesday morning.
